Our product focus  -  custom compounded PC, ABS, Alloys, FR and other  – customer specific products.

Star Plastics currently has a position available to develop new products, both commercially and within the manufacturing facilities.  This position reports directly to the President and CEO.

Star’s main products, compounded plastic resins, are based on  Polycarbonate and PC Alloys, ABS, PBT, and flame retardants.  Experience in compounding any of these materials is a major asset, although not a requirement, for this job.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and commercialize new products
  • Developing and implementing improvement programs for quality, yield, uptime, capacity, and reduced cost of manufacture
  • Development and commercialization of new process technologies
  • Provide assistance to operations and guidance on day-to-day issues
