I am in search of a Manufacturing Operations Management position.
I am a Facts-and-Data driven Change-Agent and have successfully demonstrated the skills required to turn-around unprofitable operations beset with ongoing Safety, Quality, Service and Cost issues. In previous roles my management style has been validated as 9 Direct Reports have been promoted into Plant Manager positions and 14 others into position need at other Company sites including Corporate Headquarters. I continually challenge the status-quo, embracing what works well and am quick to correct systems, equipment and personnel that "Don't Seem to Make Sense".
Worked 5.47M hours without a Lost Time Accident and achieved a 3 year Recordable Incident Rate of 0.20 during my three year tenure earning 2 coveted Global Safety Awards and 1 North American Safety Award. My site was designated a Manufacturing Center of Excellence.
I successfully facilitated 4 year, strike free Collective Bargaining Agreements. One limiting increases to $500 cash/1%/1.5% and 2.5% over four years, the other no wage increases over 4 years but with the addition of a throughput incentive bonus for all on site - a contested issue in years past.
Introduced lean methodologies in a steel stamping operation (Change over procedures, metrics, die storage/retrieval and repair, preventive maintenance schedules) and eliminated a major throughput constraint that impacted 10 major product lines serving sold out markets..
